K.O. 😵

Image
Let me explain the title “K.O.” or “knock out” real quick. On Tuesday we got back late from district council where we were helping the elders of Tepeji make a Facebook post that took us way too long (the final product was not good). But we finally arrived at the house and I sat down on the couch to make some calls. We were about to leave though and I accordingly stood up from the couch to “do my business” before leaving to visit people. I must have gotten up at super sonic speeds though cause the second I entered the bathroom I felt SUPER light headed, I literally just remember standing in the bathroom and thinking something a long the lines of: “man Im light headed, I hope I don’t faint” and boom I woke up on the tile floor with my companion yelling extremely loud. I hadn’t ever fainted before in my entire life and it was definitely a weird sensation. My comp said I was knocked out for like 5 seconds but I believe that was somewhat of an exaggeration. I felt like I had literally woken...

On Tuesday we went to Tepeji again for district council and some exchanges. Kind of. After we all ate Elder De La Cruz and Tippets had a 3 hour long zoom meeting with their ward and me and my comp literally sat there just messaging people and stuff. After we only had time for one lesson but me and Elder De La Cruz (a Dominican kid) went out and taught a family. Later that night a family had invited us to go eat with them. The guy there was an old, fat man. He was literally the funniest guy I've met though. He literally could've been a comedian. He told hilarious stories and his shtick was roasting new missionaries or “the greenies” so every 5 seconds he would roast my companion and Elder De La Cruz which was hilarious. On Wednesday we went back to Tula to have our interviews with President Holtom. He’s a super great person. It was probably the most comfortable I’ve felt in an interview in an entire year and I felt like I could be 100 percent about my progress and my weaknesses ...

He’s named president Holtom by the way

So I’m back again I suppose after not writing last week. This week was somewhat eventful.  On Tuesday we went to district council like we usually do on Tuesdays. We went to tepeji which in bus sometimes takes an hour or more to arrive. After district council we had exchanges there in Tepeji. I went with Elder Tippets. He's this tall lanky guy from Sandy. Me and elder Tippetts walked a ton. The appointments all fell except for one with a recent convert, plus the rain started to fall super fast and even though I had an umbrella I got soaked. But what I've noticed is that when your with a good companion, the day doesn’t seem so bad. On Wednesday we had to go to Tula to the stake center to meet the new mission president. I hadn’t been to Tula since the flooding almost a year ago. We walked through the center of Tula where last September everything had been destroyed basically. Everything now looks completely new and normal and you’d never know that just under a year ago there...
