Jacob Max—Mexico City North Mission

Tuesday. It was a hot one. We went to district council and afterwards we went to see our lonely friend Jose Antonio. Apparently he has a neighbor who might like to hear us or something. After we went to go eat with one of the bishops councilors. The food took like an hour to make so we ended up being there for 2 hours. Right after we went to visit this guy named Enrique who lived close by to where we were eating. He's a nice guy but like soo many here, he just talks and doesn't stop. The food was still sitting pretty good in us and it was really warm in his house and as he droned on it was a fight to keep the eyes open. I think my companion literally fell asleep. Later that night we were able to visit a family of inactives. They sell hamburgers. They basically told us that it's IMPOSSIBLE to go to church ever cause they're too busy in every moment of everyday.  Wednesday morning some inactive "member" who we once met in the street sent us a whole bunch of d...

I'm back again.  Tuesday was hot. We have to walk to district council in our suits and it is hard. Later we ate with a super nice lady in our ward. She made enfrijoladas which are super good. She always gives us so much food that after we can't even walk. The only problem about her house is that her roof is made of some sun absorbent material a it's literally hotter inside than outside. It can kill ya. Tuesday was mother's day in Mexico (don't know why) so I was able to call my family. Later we felt that we should visit some inactive lady and give her a blessing so we did. She said she had been wanting a blessing lately. She was pretty dang sick.  On Wednesday morning early, we went to San Rafael early to go visit some people. We went to see Jose Antonio. He's super nice. He has some sort of problem in his body a sickness or something so he has to walk with two canes now.   Another week has passed. Annoying crazy people/members, pyramid schemes, and a ton of inactives. Let's begin. Tuesday. We had a district council and all that as we always do to start the week. Afterwards we went to go see Enrique and Miriam at their food stand. We ate with them and we stressed how important reading the Book of Mormon is because everything they need to know to solve every single problem they have is in the good old Book of Mormon. We visited an inactive who wasn't home, and then we walked over to San Rafael (all the sketchy apartments) and taught another guy named Enrique. This was the first time we'd ever taught him face to face. He's a nice guy. As we sat on his couch we just stared at him as he told his life's story. Growing up he played profesional soccer all over the world. Later on he worked for a drug ring and distributed drugs at a university. Afterwards we taught him the plan of salvation. Hello so I'm here again. Without too many emails still so maybe some of you are reading it on Facebook.  This week was quite normal, except for one dramatic event that happened on Monday night. We were leaving the church after P-day. And we have someone where teaching named Magaly, who didn't have anywhere to live and was kicked out of her house Sunday night, the bishop tried to help her but she didn't have her official documents so she had to leave all her stuff in a room at the church and sleep with a member a few nights. Part of the stuff that she had to leave at the church was her dog. (outside obviously). As we were leaving the church the cute dog comes up to us. As we were entering the church again it started chasing us. We ran because we knew the dog was gonna try to enter the building.
