Another week down. I honestly wasn't gonna write this week but I decided to jot down a few notes from the week.  On Tuesday we were able to go to help a political guy move his furniture to moving van. He's not a member (his wife is) but he's a super cool guy and after he bought us large Carnitas. Literally one taco felt like it had like 2 pounds of meat on it. We were also able to visit Vanessa and her grandma. Vanessa hasn't drunken coffee so we go to baptize this Saturday.  Wednesday not a lot happened. I remember walking a lot though (which I probably need, this areas plumping me up a bit again)  Thursday we had half a day. We went to see Vanessa, Moroni, and the family with the kids we baptized a week ago. That evening we had to go to Tula. Tula’s about 1 and-a-half hours away in bus. We then had to walk a large distance. We had to go to spend the night with the zone leaders to leave for the mission offices early the next morning. We ended up choosing the wrong path...

Spies and Angry Farmers

Hello. Let me explain the title a little bit So, on Wednesday, we went out to visit Vanessa and her grandma, they live on a ranch a little far from where we live, Vanessa is 16 and her grandma is pretty sick. Vanessa’s mom lives in a little town called San Lorenzo, about 10 minutes up the road. Basically her mom lives with this extremely abusive guy, who completely controls her, the way Vanessa and everyone describes it, its basically like she’s kidnapped. The members heard about the situation and decided to help. I guess they contacted some sort of place that could help rescue Vanessa’s mom. I’m not sure exactly what they did or who they contacted, but they said to be able to help, they needed to get the location of the house. So a member took us up to the little town, basically just for pure farmers and stuff, and Vanessa showed us what house it was. The house was a bit down a dirt walking path. We decided that the “safest” option would to send the missionaries to go up to the house ...

A Tourist In Mexico City

Hello.   This week was eventful with some pretty interesting moments. On Monday night, we went to go visit a guy and his girlfriend, we arrived about 10 minutes early and they still weren't home, I asked my comp if they'd already knocked all the doors in the area, he said yes, but I pointed to the house next door, and asked if they'd knocked that one. He said they hadn't so we went to knock it. Some girl answered and we contacted her. She said she would like to hear a message, and she said she’d come to the church one day for a lesson. That was cool. Plus we didn’t have to go all up and down the street knocking countless doors, so that was cool. We had a lesson with this guy named Carlos and his girlfriend Diana which was cool.  On Tuesday we had some exchanges with Tepeji. They came over to Jilotepec to work with us. I was able to go with my former companion Elder Sanchez. It was cool to catch up and talk for a while. We went to visit Jorge, the guy we just baptized....
