Jacob Max—Mexico City North Mission

  So I started this letter early so I could go clean and pack and all that afterwards. Why? It's cause I'm getting freaking transferred. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty dang nervous and all anyone told me about my new comp is that he's running for AP. We  shall see though. The areas called Melchor Ocampo.  Tuesday, all I can recall happening is district council and then walking a bunch cause we had to walk home to pay the rent. It's freaking HOT here still. Like the 90s during the day level of heat. I also remember we called some reference and she was crying when she answered cause her husband got kidnapped. I didn't even know till after the call cause I didn't know the word for "kidnapping" in Spanish. I felt completely useless in that moment and I don't even remember what I said.   Hi Lets see. Tuesday we had district council like normal, but we have to do a freaking skit in front of the whole mission on Wednesday and I’d literally rather eat a dog taco. After all that we went to teach Jose Vega (the one legged guy who fell) and He’s super great and He’s starting to remember what we teach. The first few weeks with him literally we would teach about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon twice during one lesson and he wouldn’t remember any of it. We're hoping to baptize him this week, I just have no clue how to do it. We will probably need like 2 people in the font or something. After that lesson we started our long trek into Quma. On the way we ran into some dude to contact but he didn’t have interest and he proceeded to tell us we were gonna die cause we had the vaccine and that we probably didn't believe in Jesus. I actually feel like this whole week was somewhat interesting. Some good, some bad, one quite disturbing. but we’ll get into those.  Tuesday was district council and all that stuff. Later that night we taught Jorge and Enriqueta who are great new people we got from references, and then Silvestre and his girlfriend. It turns out he has quite a coffee addiction but he’s willing to try and stop it.  Wednesday sucked. It was totally my fault too. The morning was fine though. Silvestre came over and he helped us fill up our gas so we'd finally have hot water, BUT it turns out we still need batteries for it so we still don't have hot water. We then went to have our interviews with president. After all that we returned to the area, and as we were leaving the church I realized I had accidentally locked our keys in the office in the church so we were literally locked in the church gates and couldn’t leave or open any doors.   Hi   Tuesday is where we'll start this one off. Not much happened, but we used the wrong combi to get to lunch with a member and I realized that we were on the wrong combi and I was in the back of it and it was super crowded so I had no idea what to do. I realized I should say something cause by that point were were almost 15 minutes out of our area and my companion was asleep for some reason. I randomly told the combi driver to stop even though I had NO idea where we were and we just took a taxi. anyway yeah.   Wednesday was our temple trip. We got up at 4:45 so we'd have time to shower and stuff and let me tell you nothing is worse than a freezing cold shower at 5 in the morning. Especially cause right now in the mornings the weather is FREEZING. after that we took a taxi to the stake center to take a combi with 2 districts to the temple.
