Sunday was just weird
Its true it was but ill get into that
Tuesday was pretty boring. In the afternoon we went to Quma and I don't know how many more Quma trips this guy (me) can take. We taught some people including our one legged friend. Also I'm not kidding I saw ANOTHER one legged dude in Quma. Thats about it though I cant really think of anything that interesting that happened on Tuesday.
Wednesday was the same thing not a ton, but a Lady gave us money for KFC (the same who last week told me a gargantuan American like me could easily inhale 10 pieces of KFC. Well it wasn't EXACTLY like that but) and we ordered 8 pieces but for some reason they threw in 7 more for free. KFC is good but when you have that much, it becomes a daunting task and KFC seems like a monster of skin and grease.
Thursday ALSO was quite uneventful but in the night some dude named Alejandro came to the church for a lesson. I’ve mentioned him before but he's just weird. He's always got a look like he's dizzy and he says weird things like he doesn't believe theres a devil and how I'm the first white person he's ever met and stuff. He was also had a weed shirt on and he closed us out with a good ‘ol lords prayer.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday though. I was about ready to make a dent in the wall with my head after these days.
Friday we went to the house of some weird guy we're teaching and he wasn't home and wasn't responding to our texts which is annoying so, we just left obviously—what else are we supposed to do? When we got back to the church we received an angry text message from the bishop Saying how messy the church was. Literally and I'm not kidding he was mad that the office that we use was "messy" because we had an extra chair in it and we had moved some wires so that we could connect to some backup Internet cause good old Liahona wasn't working. Also he was mad that the kitchen was dirty, and I really should agree with him on that but were literally not the only missionaries who use the kitchen and literally we clean it every Saturday, but the bishop said if we don't clean he's gonna tell our mission president that were forbidden to use the church and all that crap. It was literally the biggest overreaction I’d ever heard in my life. After that we had a correlation over zoom with the members and we got a ton of other lectures from a member over the "church being messy" and then the dude who wasn't home earlier texted us and since we were in a freaking meeting we couldn't respond so he sent a message Saying we didn't care about him and stuff and I was so annoyed. He's literally like a 45 year old man. On the way home from the church that night I was just ranting and then proceeded to write like 5 angry pages in my journal about all the lectures we had gotten that day.
Saturday we crashed a wedding reception
It was awkward. Every week we get a calendar saying who were eating with every day that week. The one on Saturday was In Cañada and so we walked pretty far to get there and when we finally arrived it we saw a large wedding reception going on and everyone was shocked to see the missionaries show up. I wanted to leave but they let us in and it was so awkward cause all of the members who had gotten after us on Friday were there. We were just sitting in the corner by ourselves. We had some sandwiches and some macaroni stuff. The sandwiches were good but oh my the macaroni was just awful, I'm sorry. It was one of those foods you just eat but every time you take a bite you shudder. It was macaroni in pink sauce, mayo and cherries and everyone seemed to love It so I choked my serving down but oh my I made a vow that day if I ever see that stuff again I will run. Also that night I was just in the bathroom and I blamed the stupid macaroni. Afterwards we went to Quma again. We were walking around and it was dark early cause of the time change and theres some weird people and everyone you walk past someone your afraid they have a knife or something. I'm waiting for the day when I'll never have to step foot in that place again.
Sunday as the title says, was just weird. We called a member and asked if they could help us transport one of our pals with one leg to church. It took forever to find his house cause he lives in this small area in between Quma and the rest of of area that none of us had ever been to before. We got there and we found out that his wheelchair wasn't collapsable and wouldn't fit in the members car so we just left it behind. We got to church almost 30 minutes late so we didn't have time to call another person in the ward who has one leg (not kidding you cant make this stuff up) for an extra wheel chair so literally me and this member just Carried the guy. It was literally the most awkward moment of my entire life. Since we were super late to Sacrament meeting we just barged in pretty much and every eye was on us as we were just casually carrying this dude by the shoulders and remaining leg. It made It worse cause for some reason the person giving the talk stopped and waited for us to plop this guy on the bench. After church we got him in the car and took him back. We went into his house to help him get settled in but his house is pure concrete, no windows, stairs leading to a roof that no one ever built. Half the house doesn't have a roof and theres a large area where just weeds have been growing and theres like 2 lightbulbs. The bathroom had no door and the toilet is In the exact same space as the shower. I really felt bad for the guy cause he is constantly alone In the house with literally no visitors. He ended up talking for over an hour so we were super late to our lunch with good old norma. We went to her house (about and hour and a half late) and found her sitting on a bench on the sidewalk waiting for us. She was super nice about us being late but then told me I don't sit up straight enough and made me wear her sunglasses cause she didn't want the sun to damage my eyes. After, we walked to her house and had some Chile rellenos and some popsicles. After that, we visited our investigators in the Papelería. There super nice but I always dread visiting them cause they talk for years without ceasing. We finally got out and went to the church and waited for transfer news. The whole week I had been thinking I didn't want to leave cause id have to pack all my stuff up, but on Sunday I was starting to get pretty anxious cause part of me was telling me I was leaving and I started to get excited. I would get a new comp and id never have to step foot in Quma again which is really all a man wants in this life. We finally got a call from the zone leaders. The told us that the other two companionships would be changing a bit and then they got to us. The said (more or less) "cincoc 2, you guys.....will be the exact same and your still leaders of the Facebook Page in your district" and I just sunk. I'm not sure how much longer I can go with these dumb Facebook zoom meeting twice a week. I'm also not so sure how much longer I can go with my compa....ah never mind that was enough ranting and complaining for one letter. Anyway bye.
