Fetching Legendary

Well the explanation for the title is first, the word "fetching" is the most common word in the mission field, and wether I like it or not, it has become a part of my vocabulary. The thing that was legendary was conference. There was no broadcast for the ward so since we were just watching with a few missionaries, I was able to watch all of it in english. Now don't worry, I'm not about to get all spiritual on you, but the talks were so good. Also according to President Nielson, freaking buckle up. If you're reading my letter and you haven't watched conference, stop reading right now and go watch it because I promise you’ll get more out of one talk then you ever will from my dumb ol' letters.

Alright. Hello everyone. I don't have a ton of time because we have transfers later so rejoice you don't have to read a long letter today. I'm getting a new companion but I'm staying in the area. My current companion is going home, and let me tell you how hard it is to see people leave when you have sooo much time left.

What's else happened this week? Well on Tuesday we were walking back from an appointment and we walked past a very large army of catholics and it was really awkward cause they were just staring at us. I was really afraid we'd have to resort to a "1 Kings 18" level showdown. The same thing happened yesterday too and every time without fail they just stare at us and then yell at us that god loves us.

I won't be able to include any photos this week and I'm annoyed because this week, we were walking to a member meal, and we had to cut through a large farm and it was so amazing to look at the wide open fields and animals. (The real reason I'm mad I cant include pictures this week is because I got an awesome picture with a donkey that I wanted to include)

The rest of the week wasn't extremely exciting. We did a little service for a family in our neighborhood. We moved some cinderblock and dirt onto her roof. We could’ve had up to 3 baptisms this week but they fell through. On Friday we went to the mission office for an end of 6 weeks meeting. Those are always fun, cause I can talk to all the other new missionaries but coming to think of it I'm not 100 percent sure what the exact point of the meeting was, but really it was fun. After, we walked with our companions so they could go get the second dose of the vaccine. It rained a ton this week and I know when I get home (one day) I'm going to miss the thunderstorms here.

Saturday and Sunday were so awesome cause of conference. We watched some at the house (my comp was sick after the second dose)  and the rest at the church. But again it was so awesome. Although I do have to say I was also super homesick watching conference too.

Well thats all for today. Later we're returning to the mission office to get new companions. Even though ill technically still be in training i'll be expected to know everybody and now how to get everywhere and I'm REALLY nervous for that. Anyway read the scriptures and bye.
